Seems I'm quite active here on LJ for a change... generally months go by without a post, and yet here's three inside of a week.
Anyway, just feel like posting, throwing some things out on the winds and seeing what flies back at me. Am slightly bothered (as always), and can't quite pin down why. It could be one of several things, which I'll enumerate; hopefully, this will focus things into a point that I can then act on and remove from consideration.
1. I'm not 100% happy with myself. This bothers me rather a lot, because as far as I can tell I'm comfortable with all aspects of myself. I suspect that this is more about how I perceive others perceiving me... I do have to admit that I have a fair few insecurities there.
2. I'm worried that, by becoming open with myself, I've got a history that will link back to me in the future, where I might want to selectively censor stuff. Sure, I'm comfortable with all aspects, but I don't want, say, an employment opportunity to go badly just because I've been so open with myself online. At the same time, I don't want to 'change' these aspects just because a job demands it... it's something that I'm becoming increasingly torn on... it's so relaxing and fun to just be myself, but I don't want it biting me in the ass later on. But at the same time, I don't want to go back and deny these things because... if you can't be yourself, what's the real point in living?
3. Standard fear drama regarding finding someone. Mentioned it before, it's still an active concern, and probably will be until something happens to solve it. Holding a relationship right now wouldn't even be recommended due to my course load, but emotionally it still bothers me. -.-
That's about it. o.o Dunno what sparked this, but there it is.

So. Birthday stuff went awesome, especially Sat with Jenna and Meg. XD That was a lot of fun. :D Meggy bought me this chocolate martini. o.o; no kidding. It was chocolate...and martini. Two things I never really put together.
Genghis grill still very awesome. XD My leftovers are still in the fridge. Need to fix that later. O.o
So. Christmas cards were supposed to go out yesterday, but...as you can tell (because I'm posting about it), they're not. XD I'm terrible! And I'm very sorry to everyone. @.@; Just this whole weekend has been INSANE. XD Been so busy.
Um...Sunday, still haven't beaten Deathbringer Saurfang. We'll be trying again tonight. >.> I love Tuesday raids. ^^;
And seriously, I promise I'll post pictures here soon! XD Just been so busy. Other than raiding, I haven't even been on WoW enough to farm. For those that know me, that's pretty bad. Especially since we're low on fish feasts.
For those that I'm confusing, moving on to subjects: Christmas.
This is the first year my whole family isn't doing dinner on Christmas proper. We're getting together on Sunday, of all days. Weird, huh? Works out, though. Get to see more of my mom and step-dad and the others on Christmas morning, and spend the rest of the day with Allan's family. BIG relief there. And I'll get to see everyone enjoy what they got, too. :D O.~ can't wait until the babies play with their stuff. We went a little over board. *sweatdrops*
Bah, it's almost 12:30. Need to finish cleaning, so when Allan gets home from work tonight we can just go get food and see that movie. Looking forward to seeing Avatar. I'm really worried, though. It looks so visually pretty, but I'm afraid it might lack in other places because of that. I hope not. Anyone seen it? Did you like it?
Seeing movies in the evenings for the rest of the week, too. Of all movies, we're seeing the Chipmunk movie tomorrow night. XD I owe Allan a few movies this month, so we decided to just make a movie week of it. On Christmas Eve we're going to take a break and watch the Christmas Story marathon we watch every year. XD and on Christmas, we're going to (hopefully, as a family) see Sherlock Holmes. No clue if I'm going to like it or not. They took a literary figure and altered the way he was in the novels, but...it's what Hollywood does. >> and it has Jude Law *cough* I'm totally there. LOL
Speaking of movies, I rewatched Gargoyles. Y'know, Disney's Gargoyles? Sometimes I wonder if Disney should have gotten it, and if it was really for kids. XD I love it, though. Wish they would hurry and put the rest of season 2 on DVD and put the rest of the series on DVD while they're at it! T.T; Might draw some Gargoyles now. @.@; Is that weird? Heard there's a convention gathering thing for it, too. Might check into that.
On that note, looks like we're going to Dragoncon this year. Well, at least Allan and I. ^^; So excited. I missed the epic William Shatner coming to one of the panels drunk. XD It was such an epic convention this year, anyway. Heard they had something like four main hotels and about six spill over hotels. It's insane. Anyone else going?
Going to AWA this year, and might see if Tarin-kun wants to hit up MTAC with me. Y'wanna? Or will you be busy? I owe you from last year. @.@; Stupid car.
I think I told everyone we have a new car, right? It's actually a Jeep Cherokee and made of great awesome. It ended up becoming Allan's and we're talking about getting me one this year, and it's looking like our funds might be able to afford it. XD Makes me very excited there. Not sure what I want. Just something that's not manual. Allan's not set the time aside to teach me. It's not like I don't know how to do it, I just need him sitting in the passenger seat and let me drive all over Chattanooga practicing. @.@; hehe
So, as I promised, I'm making myself update more. There's not a whole lot going on in my life, but there most likely will be. We're moving soon, it looks like. Plus, we're planning our vacation. It'll probably be in October, as an anniversary/honeymoon thing. Yeah, we still haven't gone on one. XD But we haven't had the time! With all the babies, and all the stress of last year, who has time to vacation?! BUT! It's looking like a mini vacation in Gatlinburg at the beginning of next year, and then a MUCH bigger thing come the fall. We're talking either a cruise or Disneyworld. I'm wanting Disney like mad. @.@; It's been so long, and I think Allan might actually enjoy the experience. He's not as cranky and so closed-minded on the whole idea of the Happiest Place idea. XD He's actaully wanting to go. Weird, ne?
Yup, another paragraph, another subject change. Consider this my good writing transitional period? >.>;;; So, finally almost done with the 100 picture challenge. I took a small break from drawing or coloring or anything, and started back into it. I'm completely redoing Dying, I need to color Illusion, Traps, Give Up, Advertisement, In the Storm, and maybe redo Solitude. I also have to color or do something with Stars. Then I'm done. O.o; And most of those are almost done, just need either finishing touches or finished colored. XD Illusion is the only one I have to start all over with coloring, but I can easily do that on Allan's computer with my tablet. Muwahahaha! Then I'm not picking up a project like this ever again. And then I'll work on something else entirely. It'll probably be people's characters from the upcoming Weiss game or for either Terra d'Ange (there's a new book, Nammah's Kiss, soooo good so far) or the other game Meg's been running. XD I wanna draw people's characters soooo bad. I've also been doing doodles. >> of all people, Niou! Yeah, so sad, huh? Oh! Speaking of! There's one I forgot on that list! Horror. O.< I love Horror and I wanna finish that pic so badly. Just not sure...how exactly.
Okay, enough of the dA talk. Time to post a movie. Actually, four movies. XD gonna show you what we're doing tonight. No, this isn't my guild nor is it anyone I personally know. This is from Tankspot.com If you don't know this site, and you raid in WoW...WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!? They do the player test realm stuff, and figure out the decent strategy for each boss, then show you how it's done. I love the music they play. Am I weird?
Lord Marrowgar
DOWNED
Lady Deathwhisper
DOWNED
Gunship Battle
DOWNED (note that the vid is 25 man. XD We're only doing 10 man stuff right now)
Deathbringer Saurfang
Still working on :( (I want to beat this one so badly)
Have I mentioned how much I love the music in these vids? I still say Malygos was my favorite, though. The video, that is. Although, the person who did Yogg-Saron was awesome. But that last movie I showed you, the guy is right. If things aren't done right, stuff goes bad and bad fast. @.@: I'm so ready to beat that fight, it's not funny. XD Allan had me yelling through the wall, and I've not said that many bad words in a long time about a game. >>;;;
Gah! It's 1:00! Allan'll be off in 30 mins! Talk later, kay? Hope everyone's holidays are going awesome! XD BYE~

Inside Outside Go Vector?
Sigh. I guess Robert Blake knows me too well.
After seeing these comics, my pal, Cary, took it that I hated Charmy, which is far from the truth. I actually kinda' like Charmy. Sure, he's annoying, but I think has an adorable design and is a somewhat endearing character. I'm just a sick sick man is all. My comics usually just consist of me writing whatever comes into my head, and seemly that consisted of a bunch of crazy stuff with the Chaotix Detective Agency. However I'm pretty sure this will be the last we see of these guys... for a while.
PS. Just to show that I have no hard feelings towards Charmy, I drew this picture of him. BAM!

An adult's "Fern Gully", with gallons of scenery porn and alien flora and fauna. Add one money-centric executive, an atypical angry military general, humans being bastards as they always are in these films, and bipedal indigineous lifeforms. Sprinkle some romance and tension, drama, and action, stir well. Then add a pinch of 'every cliche in the book'. Th result: An incredibly entertaining movie.
I laugh in the face of all the whinging I've seen on forums about this movie being some enviromentalist paper thin stupid movie. Cliches out the ass? Sure. Good movie with some great moments if you look for them? Also there.
I LAUGH. BECAUSE I WAS ENTERTAINED.

Just had to argue to keep my Bachelor degree, since apparently the class my adviser told me was an elective was actually a core required class, and "I would never tell you that it was an elective." despite another classmate also receiving the same information. Plus side, I can still get my degree. Minus side, the class I was looking forward to next semester (Network Security) has to be canceled, due to being at the same time.
So frustrating. Also, sadly, Quiznos stopped making the Tuscan Turkey, my favorite sandwich. :

These two videos are what I call Let's Play One-Shots. Rather than play through the entire game, I just show you what some games are like with commentary. The reason I may do these from time to time is it will let me do LPs of etreme classic retro games that don't have endings and loop forever. Anyways check these two out.

An Amazing Day

So... the kind of days you get where you weren't expecting to be rocked off your feet nearly as hard as you were? That was today. Or rather, yesterday. I hate time zones. Tell ya what. That was 12/18/2009 -> 12/19/2009, from about 5:30 PM to about now.
Starting off the awesome sauce, parents took me out to Morton's Steakhouse for my graduation. This is the only place I've ever eaten where I get a buzz off of the food. @.@ It didn't disappoint. I put down a double-cut filet mignon and their absolutely amazing chocolate lava cake, as well as a mojito. This alone would make a day special.
After Morton's, got home, and enjoyed my mini-food coma by watching Serenity in Bluray with my family. Right (and I mean right) after that, drove out to Tinseltown to see Avatar in 3D with
artic_dragoness,
tetsusaiga1370,
the_dragon_mage, Artic's wifey, B_Bat, Joe, and Lar. We waited about an hour in the life to the specific showing room (due to having to reschedule to 10:35 PM, the 9:45 PM show was canceled due to technical difficulties), and got our seats.
Holy shit. o.o
Firstly, it's 2009, and it's nice that they've finally got a decent 3D experience going. This isn't that crappy blue/red tint effect... they use two differently polarized lenses, and offset the picture accordingly. It actually works, and despite the film being 3 hours of this, I didn't get a headache from eyestrain, nor nausea from problems with the effect.
Secondly, I think this is the first film I've seen digitally. It's nice not to have the grainy film look, and see things smoothly. That made me happy just from not having little white specs pop up during the movie.
Thirdly... alright, so the plot's been done before. This was -amazingly- executed as a movie. The details, the vistas, the sheer amount of eye candy just overwhelms... and then keeps on overwhelming. This is one of those movies that I got my Bluray player for my computer for. It was just. so. pretty. It didn't suffer from being too flashy (Speed Racer), and the alien characters were... realistic, without suffering that 'uncanny valley' problem that I've seen in the past.
I just... @.@ Days like today are what help remind me why I suffer in school, and some of the spoils I can expect when I get out.
Oh, speaking of... I almost forgot. X3 I graduated, Thursday. I officially have a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. Now to go another year and get my Masters.
I <3 all my friends and family. Just... <3 all around. :3

Is next week. Where am I going to find something for Dad?
What about the friends I'd love to find a little something for?
And most importantly, where the hell did the year go?
